A Loop in Time was made for the Extra Credits Game Jam #3, using the theme: "Cycles"

A Loop in Time is a puzzle platformer that uses the unique mechanic of recording your actions, and repeating those actions over and over again to solve puzzles. The game was made in a 100 hour time frame, using only self made assets and code. The game was developed in Unity engine 2018, making use of the amazing tools, Pro-Builder, and Pro-Grid.

A Loop in Time was developed by Blake Blakeslee (Mechanics/Level Designer), and Stratton Whisler (Programmer/One-Time 3D Modeler), under the company name, Shinventon Games.

How To Play:

Press and hold Shift to record your characters movements. Release to finish recording, and silhouette will appear showing those movements.

Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to map that action to one of your open slots. A blue diamond will show a filled slot, while a lock will show that a slot is locked and unusable.

When a slot is filled, press it's corresponding number to start playing the action assigned to that slot. The character will repeat this action indefinitely, until they either, touch a Destabilizing Field and respawn, touch a Stabilizing Field, reset, or press another slot's button to perform that action.

Press R to reset if you get stuck to return to the last checkpoint.

Press ESC to close the game.
